Last Saturday, my team heard about theses kids who ran the streets of Bandung under an old train station. We were asked if we wanted to go share about God’s Love with them. The curiosity of meeting God’s lost children peaked my interested, but little did I know that they will steal my heart with out asking. As soon as we arrived, three boys and two girls walked up to us as they grabbed our hands and placed it on their forehead out of respect.
Sadly, we learned that their parents are involved in heavy drugs, alcohol and prostitution with little or no desire to change. The eyes of one boy told me he had a haunting dark secret as he masked it with a smile believing it’s normal for kids to lose their innocence. Than we learned that these kids never knew what it meant to be loved unconditionally by their parents. I could feel my spirit cry as His heart was burning a hole in my chest. Josh, I want you to give them this gift I made for them. As Romany was sharing the story of how God chose David because of his heart. I could see the kids eyes light up, when Romany told them that God has chosen them too because He sees their hearts. Romany shouted joyfully, “God has given you all crowns!” I could see a change in the eyes of each kid who where in that very second realized that they were not just street kids but were children of God adopted into his family.
They decided to wear their crowns proudly! They wore their crowns as though they were royalty. Watching them all smile and laugh as they wore their new crowns while we played each game, shared a glimpse of one of my past prophesy coming true. “GOD Will Crown His Children, Because they are Sons and Daughters Of A King!” We didn’t tell them they had to but they wanted to because it made them feel special. It made them feel loved by their heavenly Father. I can’t explain it, it was God in the room. He was hugging each child who never felt truly loved from their family.
I hate unexpected emotions. I hate feeling helpless. I hate not knowing what to do next. Than I asked God, Can you give them a real crown? Not just a crown they drew on paper? As we took a family photo, God spoke and said OK, Josh. And all of God’s children, gave back their colorful crowns. I still have them. I plan to keep them. I plan to pray and cry in intercession for them. I hope to see them next Saturday! This time to tell them that their No Longer Slaves but be confident in being Sons and Daughters of God. I pray that they can say, I AM A CHILD OF GOD!

(Testing their memory seeing if they remember the order of the story!)
