Have you ever been for a prayer walk around a Muslim mosque? What about going to drink coffee with an atheist? How does walking around in a city that has no native Christ followers and asking God that He would show you exactly where to go and who to pray for sound? How about playing soccer with kids who do not know Christ and his love for them, and much more is all part of ministry this first month.

I wish I had more to say when I’m writing this such as “this many people came to know Christ today” or “we baptized 20 people and here are the pictures..”. Honestly I do feel that God will show up in a mighty way like that at some point on the race but this month is different. This has been a good first month because it has taught me most to rely on God and his promises, listen to His still small voice, and seek Him out more than ever before. At one point last week I remember getting frustrated and wondering why we are here if we aren’t seeing any fruit from our labor.

God spoke to me in that moment, He said “You are not here for you, You are here for me.” Right there I became overwhelmed and just laid in bed and began to thank Him for all of the good He’s doing. My team and I have a nice place to stay with beds and hot meals. We get to go out into a city that doesn’t follow Christ and get to be His ambassadors. God wants to use us as His vessel. The more I think about it, it’s an honor to be chosen by God Himself to be His hands and feet and to go tell people about how great He is.

Month 1 has taught me that doing whatever he tells me to do is more important than seeing the fruit that comes with it. Being a seed planter for Jesus is more than enough.

There is one more week left in this month and one thing I ask of you as a reader of this blog is for your prayer. Prayers for the people here in Macedonia: that their eyes would be open and the walls of their hearts would be broken down to see Jesus for exactly who He is. Be intentional in your prayers. John 14:13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
