I wrote out a bucket list sometime in high school, but it is lost somewhere in a box at my parents' house, I think. So I think I will add to it.
-Go to India. (Hopefully to be accomplished July 2012. 🙂 )
-Sing jazz at a bar, with my hair in pin curls and wearing a red sequined dress.
-Attend the tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center.
-Walk for miles in Africa to get water from a well.
-Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade from the street in New York.
-Take part in a flash mob. The more dancing, the better.
-White water raft the Nile.
-Do kareoke to Valerie by Amy Winehouse.
-Go to Ireland.
-Visit Kings Cross Station, and act like a total nerd at Platform 9 3/4.
-See Tom Petty in concert.
-Love on kids in an African orphanage.
-See the Nutcracker Ballet. I've seen recordings of it, but never in real life. Done 12/3/11!
-See Sigur Ros in concert.
-Be a Salvation Army Bell Ringer (to be accomplished December 10th!) Done!
-Respond to a natural disaster.
-Hug lepers and "untouchables" in India.
-Take part in an African worship service.
-Learn to ride a unicycle.
-Swim with dolphins.
-Ride on top of a bus in Asia or Africa, hanging on for dear life, because the bus is so packed. I'm sure I would find it hilarious. According to current and past World Racers, this will happen a lot, as well as being sardined inside the bus. Bring it on.
-Dye my hair fire orange and red. A la Hayley Williams.
-Toss pumpkins via a trebuchet.
-Be a mother
-Bring hope and love to people who feel hopeless and unloved.
You can help me make some of these things happen. Just last night, I had a dream that we had $80,000 in our support account, easily accomplishing our goal of $31,000. I was able to spread out the extra to my squadmates. There was such a burden lifted off, and I was so incredibly happy that we were able to cover our expenses for this journey to bring hope and love to the nations. Of course, when I woke up, and realized that it was just a dream, it was disappointing. It can happen, though. Anything that you can donate will help us towards that goal.
