I thought it would be fun to write 100 Random Facts about Josh and myself, for your reading pleasure.  I knew that Josh would be overwhelmed at the prospect of having to come up with 100 facts about himself, so I decided write them for him, and to compile them into one list.

  1. Josh loves having a beard.  He went to a private Bible college, where you could not have facial hair unless you were married or a 5th year senior (the rules have since relaxed a bit).  I don't think he has been completely clean-shaven since before he graduated in May of 2009.

  2. Josh is a drummer.

  3. We spent our first anniversary taking a boat ride down the river, riding elephants, and hiking to a waterfall in Thailand.

  4. I love telling stories.  Long, detailed ones.

  6. Josh can also identify the type and model of tornado sirens.

  7. I love animals.  Especially cats.

  8. My favorite movie is Home Alone.

  9. I used to work at the Humane Society, and I loved it.  I learned valuable life lessons like how to handle animals in every kind of mood, how to identify worms and parasites by sight or symptom, how to vaccinate, deworm, and microchip, and on many occasions, how to laugh off the fact that I just got peed/pooped/diarrhea'ed on.

  10. Josh is a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan.

  11. We have 3 cats.  One is named after a tree (Willow), one after a character from LOST (Desmond), and one after a bovine (Moo).  Desmond and Moo were both additions from when I worked at the shelter.

  12. I love Christmas, and everything to do with it.  Family, snow, lights, Jesus, sparkly things, carols, just everything.

  13. When Josh and I go for walks at the Nature Center, Josh likes to powerwalk.  I like to slowly meander and look at the trees.

  14. I'm always running late.  Always.  My time reasoning skills are just not very good.  (Ex.  Ok, I have 10 minutes until I need to leave.  That's enough time for me to brush my teeth, put on my shoes, grab my watch, take the trash out of my purse, pack my lunch…oh no!  I'm 5 minutes late now!)

  15. I love old movies.  Some of my favorites are Meet Me in St. Louis, Funny Face, Roman Holiday, White Christmas.

  31. Josh first knew he wanted to do missions after his trip to Mexico in high school.

  32. Josh takes life at a slower pace than most people.  It can sometimes be frustrating for someone like me who is a do-er, but the contrast is a good reminder for us that we both need to work on moving toward a happy medium, instead of being on opposite ends of the spectrum.

  33. We don't know exactly what type of ministry we are called to, but one of the things that we liked so much about the World Race is that we get to go to so many different places, and do so many different types of ministry, we can figure out where we fit in.  All I know is that I have a passion for human-needs based ministry.
