Best friends are hard to come by, in this world. Strong Christian friends are even harder. Thankfully, God brought Auston Kriewaldt, into my life. He is both, a great friend and strong Christian. He always encourages and reminds me to trust the Lord in everything. As simple as his advice sounds, sometimes trusting, is the hardest thing for me to do. As I seek those who will partner with me during this 11-month mission trip, obviously trusting the Lord will be key. I have felt overwhelmed and exhausted when thinking about the large amount needed in support. God instructs us to: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Even, when things get hard and look impossible, TRUST. A good example in scripture is Moses, someone who trusted the Lord when things didn’t seem to be going right. God told Moses to go before Pharaoh and demand him to let His people go. After many of his attempts failed, Moses began to have some doubts. But he never gave up. He persevered. He trusted God. God worked it out and changed the heart of a Pharaoh.
It might not all happen at once and it may take time but I know if I seek the Lord and keep trusting his plan for me then He will provide. As I continue through this seemingly impossible stage of preparation for the World Race, I pray and ask you to pray that God gives me the same strength and perseverance He gave Moses; and I will trust him in everything and never doubt his plan.
“Commit your way unto the LORD; trust in him, and he will act”. Psalm 37:5
