SOLDOD made it to Ternopile, Ukraine safely. It has been  a crazy two days of travel, which consisted of leaving Atlanta on a plane, riding in a taxi, bus, trolley and taking a two hour train ride.  I believe the entire team is exhausted but we are so excited to be here and ready to serve the Lord. Last night we met our ministry host, Ivan. The generosity he has shown towards us is unbelievable. Beginning Monday we will be  ministering with him in a local school.

Pray, that when Monday comes, I surrender myself to the Lord fully and stay  focused on Jesus and not myself. Being in another country, there are so many distractions for me, with language barriers, trying to find safe water and budgeting money, I can start focusing on myself and selfish  desires that I forget what I am here to do.

The goal is to help grow God’s kingdom through loving and helping the community I am in.  I ask that you would pray for me as  I pursue this goal and look to give myself fully to the Lord.  Please pray for my team, SOLDOD, as we plan and prepare to head into the school to teach English and share God’s love. It has been difficult to talk with people who speak no English, but I know God will work and a  language barrier will not stop the work He has planned.

Thank you for your prayers!
