I was recently driving home from work when one of my favorite songs ” Multiplied” came on the radio and one of the lines really struck me. ” Your love is like radiant diamonds bursting inside us, we cannot contain, Your love will surely come find us,like blazing wild fires singing Your name”- Nathaniel William Reinhart. When hearing those lyrics it hit me that as a christian how exciting God’s love should be to us and how powerful it is. ” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loves us. For I know, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor power, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God,in Christ Jesus,our Lord.”- Romans 8:37-39. In those verses it describes how much God loves those who come to Christ and believe in him. His love is so powerful nothing can separate us from him. If this type of love from God doesn’t excite you and make you want to burst with a joy that cannot be contained, then I would ask you to consider praying that one day you will realize how great and powerful God’s love is.
As I continue to pursue God’s calling to the World Race I have an opportunity as a follower to obey His command to go and share God’s word to unbelievers. We live in a world that is hurting and looking for answers. We have developed a culture that would rather hate and argue than love. We hear songs and watch movies about love but often it describes love in a sexual, worldly way. During the Race, I will be going to many countries with hurting people and refugee camps where people have never heard of God’s love. It saddens me to know there are people who have never heard the Gospe, but also excites me that I have an opportunity to share God’s love with them!!
