Venturing into month 4 and arriving in Hong Kong, iSquad is transitioning into a few new phases.
1. The last three months were spent in Africa. Asia is a different world and completely opposite from African culture in many ways.
2. Our new squad leaders have been raised up and will be training under Ben and Alexandra for the next two months.
3. And lastly, team changes have been made. My former team, Genesis, will be unforgettable and I've learned invaluable lessons with them. But as sovereign as God was with my Genesis family, He is just as sovereign with my new family.
We are called The Dry Bones.
We take our name from Ezekiel 37 and the story of the valley of the dry bones as we feel it exemplifies all the different values we seek from this team. In it, the prophet Ezekiel is given a vision from God. He is taken to a vast valley, where all he can see is a mass of bones, dry bones filling the entire valley. God speaks to him telling him to preach to them. Talk to a pile of dead bones? As Ezekiel obeys, he hears a loud rattling noise and sees the bones coming together, bone to bone. He sees tendons and sinews connecting them together and flesh and skin appearing over them. Suddenly a vast army of people stands before him and God breathed life into them. This vast army is a representation of the people of Israel. The vision is a promise of how God will bring Israel back to life and restore them to their rightful place. That He will breathe His Spirit into them that they will live.
We are dry bones..
Like Ezekiel, we want to be a team that listens and seeks after God and His will, that seeks to obey Him no matter how hard it may seem or how ridiculous it may sound. His understanding is greater than ours and great things may come by trusting in Him.
We are the house of Israel and we want God to breathe life into us and make us anew. We want to rise up into the team God wants us to be. We believe like the people of Israel, we will walk in the light and in the Spirit God has put in us.
We remind ourselves that unless we rely on God, we are but dry bones. We must never cease to be in a constant state of humility before the Lord and know that only through His strength can we do the good work He has set before us.

I am so utterly excited and humbled to have the absolute privilege of leading this new team and I truly believe God has ordained each one of us to be part of this new family. I know God will grow us, change us, and stretch us. And as we put our trust in Him, He will open up the floodgates of blessings upon us.
I can only imagine what God has in store for us this year and I cannot wait to find out.
