We just came back from a small revival service at a local village, and it was just such a simple but amazing experience. This wasnt like your usual conference revival. There were no flashy colorful lights.. There werent even any lights in the room. There was no celebrity worship band.. There weren't even any instruments.
But worshiping God in that small schoolhouse, with the local people of Songwe village, the presence of God was so thick in that room you could not escape it if you tried. The Holy Spirit filled that room and saturated it, it was overflowing out the windows to the boys playing soccer outside. The worship was incredible. Their worship was so free. That's the way worship should be. You should be free to worship in the way you want to, the way you want to love God. The girls would lead in songs as the Spirit moved them.
People gave testimonies of how God has taught and loved them. Our contact and expedition leader Jack gave a message. When He delivers the word of God, his voice is so powerful, it is truly God speaking through him, he is like a different person. Heather, an AMT student, and Amber, Jack's wife, also spoke some words of truth as the Spirit lead them. As the sun started to go down, with no lights in the room, we closed..
