Arriving in Guatemala this Sunday did not take me as surprised as I expected. This particular area we are staying is called Antigua and is very close the areas I’ve traveled before in Mexico. The culture is so friendly and warm, plus most of the locals really enjoy your business and you can tell they are happy your here. We met our squad leaders Andy and Sean who are amazing leaders and had some of the most anointed times with them. The first few days we met several times during the day, going over logistics and finances. Then there where the night gatherings. Wow!!! We learned the ART of feedback and how important it is for us as Christians to feedback to each other. Its funny because feedback time turned into the best prophetic time ever. The words that were spoken from everyone to everyone was so encouraging and just indescribable. On Tuesday the entire team arrived. It was crazy!!! 47 people running around the hotels…….. It was a little loud at the very least, but it was really nice to see everyone. We all seemed to pick right back where we left off.
And then we worshiped as a group, “There is so much power in unity that people became free, bondages were broken, our gifting became alive.” We found out that tomorrow the 10th we will be going to a small jungle village in Guatemala called LaTama. Our team will be with team Jubilee for this month. There team is lead by Katie who is an amazing women of God and our teams are completely pumped about this month. We are planning to do construction and preaching in this village, but I know that God will use us to accomplish much more!! Amen….
This debrief has truly been a blessing. Team increase is ready!!!! We all came together and choose three group norms that our group will follow throughout the year. 1. Honestly–We all promise to be honest about our emotions, feels, things we want and don’t want. 2. ATL–Ask The Lord. This is a term that was used at camp which implies that we need time with God and there are no exceptions. We promise to give each other time to process, pray, and ask God for direction. 3. Family first–What we have come to realize is that its jungle out there. We have to take care of each other. We all agree that serving and loving one another is the best testimony to the world.
Now the moment you have been waiting for TEAM INCREASE!!!!
Tim–The calm and meek shepherd.
Lindsey–The Worlds Race best kept secret.
Rebekah–The true servant.
Jordan–The tender heart.
Sage–The joyful spirit.
