LaCama is wonderful!!! We have been working on the church and making amazing progress on the building. We have come to appreciate our living conditions in a new way and have been learning how blessed we really are to believe in the blessings of God. This particular passage has given me a new understanding on the blessing of God Duet. 28:2-6. “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field…. Blessed coming in and blessed going out.” I’ve always quoted this scripture and believed that God would bless my life in this way. When I’m picking apples in the field with local families in Guatemala and visiting the city restocking on other items, this scripture really brings new meaning to my life. What is so encouraging is these families truly live the Word out. They live off the land and believe God for increase in there fields and favor in the cities when they sell their harvest. What a lesson to learn that God can provide for me everyday. Mat 6:25 “Give no thought for what you eat or where you sleep”  As a team we are learning that God’s plan is God’s plan. We may not know how are who the blessing comes through, but we know IT IS COMING!!!! This past week we brought Jessica to the hospital for some medical concerns. During our time in Chichicastinago the hospital said they can do no more for her. We heard of another hospital not far called ASELSI, but the appointments were set in the early morning. We had no transportation back to the city to get Jessica the care she needed so we began to walk towards this ASELSI. Jessica had completed some mission work at ASELSI compound before and she said they “may” have room for us to stay over night. It wasn’t the easiest few miles we ever walked, but we had no other option at the time. It was a very difficult time for our team not knowing what was going to happen. It was dark and we still hadn’t made it to the place, then we still didn’t know if they would have any room for us to stay over night.

God had provided for us in the field with our new family helping them and working hard. Why would He not provide in the city? When we arrived to ASELSI they placed us in the best room they had to offer, which was a three bedroom house.

FAVOR……..We had a full kitchen and bathroom…. Hahah we had four stacks of toilet paper, toilet seats, a microwave, and food for days. It was amazing!!!!! We went from not knowing where we were going to sleep and didn’t even think about food…………….. But God. We can’t ever think that God doesn’t care. All things work out for our good and you know what…………….Believe It, because God is no liar. Sometimes we have hard life lessons but God always shows that He has control! This week was amazing and it has been a true blessing to working with such wonderful people. We have work days some harder than others ……………and then we have soccer days. Wow 6,000ft can really make you cry for more and more air.

I love and miss you TFC. It’s an enormous honor to go for you and spread TFC all over the world. One of the nights we had some group worship time. Right before this meeting I was giving our church’s testimony to some of the leaders and telling them of all the great things God has been doing through us in Thibodaux. That night the word was given that we need to thank God for the new season.

WHAT?……. THE  NEW SEASON………Right then….. it hit me! “I’m leaving the best season of my life. I’m leaving a wonderful and close family, I’m leaving Alicia….. the girl I want to spend my life with, I’m leaving a ministry I know I’m called too, and a city I have a dream and vision for.” I cried at the very least… and I cried hard. The questions began to run through my mind as I felt so alone. Just then God stopped me and said, ” This will be the last time you cry over this. You will only celebrate the season and know I have more for you.” So thank you everyone for such a great season that God has provided through your lives. Life has been full of amazing blessings and provisions that it’s impossible to name everyone and everything that has blessed me so much. I know just like myself, God has more He wants to accomplish in your lives as individuals and as a church. So celebrate the seasons but look forward to what more God has in store for us. Never be shy or timid of new and different challenges that present themselves, but have confidence in the God who provides. In him all things are possible.

P.S. We are not going to Nicaragua but to Costa Rica Next!!!!
