You will probably be getting this is your mail soon, but just in case you don’t, here is my support letter sharing a little bit about the World Race and my vision for the next year of my life!
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope all is well with you, and that you are enjoying your year and this season as much as I am. I am writing to you to tell you a little bit about what is going on in my life. A few months ago, I prayed a very dangerous prayer. I prayed, “Jesus, use me! I will do anything! I will go anywhere!” In my haste and love for Jesus, I prayed this prayer, but when He took me up on the offer and called me to the mission field, I was almost overwhelmed by fear. However, I was consistently reminded of His word where it says, “For the Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.” After about five million confirmations and a ton of prayer, I am pleased to inform you that I applied and have been accepted to the January 2016 World Race.
If you are wondering what the World Race is, it is a long-term Christian missions trip that goes to 11 different countries in 11 months. It is run through Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational organization that sends people all over the country into the mission field. My route is going to Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Albania, Nepal, Thailand, India, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local areas to preach the gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the hope and love of Jesus to tribes and cities all over the World. I will take with me nothing but a (very large) backpack and a servant’s heart. AIM will give me excellent training on the various cultures, safety concerns, and how to effectively minister to all the countries. This is not only an opportunity to bring others to Christ, but I will be able to live in true community and discipleship, and grow in my walk with Jesus. My heart for this is to show the love of Christ all over the world.
I am so excited and grateful for this amazing opportunity that God has given me, and I am confident that he will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He would do that through you. I am writing to you to ask if you would partner with me prayerfully and financially in my ministry. I must raise 16,962 dollars for my trip, which covers all my expenses on the field (flights, food, lodging, transportation…etc). Your gift can be given as a one-time gift or a monthly donation, where you would choose the amount given, the beginning date, and the end date. It may seem like a lot, but if 30 people gave $50 a month for 12 months, I would not only be 100% funded, but I would exceed my goal!
I am so excited to see what God is going to do in us through the next year. I hope to not only be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. You all have made me the woman I am today, and I would be honored to go as your representative to bring the love of Jesus to nations around the world.
