As I am across the world praying healing over people, I have hit a wall, and I’m at a place where I need you to pray healing into my life. Since I was 10 years old, I have struggled with the skin disease psoriasis. It’s a condition that causes my skin cells to reproduce faster than they fall off, causing a build up of skin in patches. This inevitably leads to dried, cracking, and bleeding skin. At times these patches itch horribly, and on top of it all, because it is so noticeable and unsightly, this disorder has made its way into part of my identity, a fact I despise.
With each new country we enter into, my psoriasis has spread further on my body. Since beginning the Race, I have seen a greater percentage of growth of these patches in 4 months than I have in the last eleven years. Recently, new spots of psoriasis have shown up on my feet, my upper arms, and most recently, my ears.
I trust God will heal me. I pray daily that it is an immediate healing; so far that has not been the case. It’s time to put an end to this disorder, once and for all. Here’s what I’m asking:
1. Be praying daily for this healing in my body
2. On the 27th of each month I am going to be fasting and on my face before God seeking his healing hand; Please join me in this. God tells us, “wherever two or more of you are, there I am also,” and I am ready for his healing; so as many people as possible seeking God in this would mean the world to me. I will continue to fast and pray on the 27th of each month until I am healed.
I have faith that God will deliver me from this disease, and may it be the ultimate testimony to his power when this disorder, which the world says there is no cure, is cast out from my body.
One final note: We made it to Rwanda safely and are staying with a wonderful family in their home this month. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
