I am now here in the small country of Swaziland. It’s is located in South Africa and borders Mozambique. It’s a beautiful country with many farms and hills. All the men on my squad, which there is 9, are all together this month. We call it manistry month because all the men get together to do ministry without the women.
This month we are on a farm working with an organization called Hope for Africa. We are working with something called “Canaan Project”. They have a huge farm that supports over 250 workers and they pay them a good salary by Swazi standards. Us 9 men are helping the maintainence Crew do whatever work that needs to get done. We have been here over one week now. So far my days have looked like this…
1. First day we got in??, got settled and had orientation ??
2. Had a tour of the property, played with kids ????, went shopping for food for the week
3. Half day, painted irrigation pumps
4. Half day, fed babies ???? in the morning, played with kids
5. Half day, destroyed chicken coop ?? so we can move it to a new location another day
6. Rest Day, spent time with Jesus ??, hung out with Kyle, made supper ????, soaking time in worship
7. Half day, took down fence, pulled out posts in ground, slashed grass with hand slasher
It has been really amazing so far just being us 9 guys. (If you’re a girl on my squad, sorry) We have been able to grow a lot in these past few days by challenging each other in areas we normally wouldn’t challenge ourselves. We call each other out and up. It’s been so good this past week, I am super excitied to see what God does in the next few weeks to come.
I made my last deadline of $11,000 and now I am needing the final amount for my last deadline of 16,250 by July 1st. If you would like to donate, click the donate button or message me for details of how to get a Canadian tax receipt. Thanks for reading and God bless!
