One of God’s names is Jehovah-Jireh which means “The Lord our Provider”. He has been taking care of me my whole life and I just want to share with you how He took care of me the past few weeks.
Around 2 months ago I was in Mongolia and was making plans for coming home. God spoke to me and said I can make whatever plans I wanted and He would bless them. I like to dream big, but even with this, I know I could have dreamed bigger. Regardless, I decided that wanted to visit friends in Gainesville, Georgia and in Phoenix, Arizona. 2 weeks in GA and 1 week in AZ.
My dilemma……. I didn’t have any money.
I had my flight to Atlanta covered, but to get to Phoenix and then home, I didn’t have. I had about $40 USD cash in my wallet, but God led me to give it away. I also had -$3 in my bank account. Not the best idea to travel in America for a few weeks. But I know God is good and has never failed me yet. So I say yes and head to Georgia.
Before I left Mongolia, a friend offered to buy me a flight to Arizona. The first leg in getting home was then taken care of.
I stayed at 3 different houses while I was there and so many friends bought me food. I volunteered at the Training Camp as a trainer and all the food was taken care of for that. I spent 2 weeks in Georgia and didn’t pay for a single thing!
While I was there, a friend who knew my situation offered to buy me a flight from Phoenix to home. They didn’t have enough points, so they got me as far as they could, which was Calgary. Calgary is about an 8 hour drive from my home, so it’s close, but still not quite home.
So as I was leaving Georgia, I had to get to the airport. I had a friend from home give me $40 CAD which is $30 USD. But I needed $75 USD to get to the airport. A friend/leader from AIM gave me $82 to get me there with the $75 and buy a meal if needed with the extra $7. I then get on a bus and make it to the airport.
At the airport, I go to check in and realize I need to pay $25 for my checked bag. I have $30 in my account so I try to use my card but it doesn’t work. I try to take out money from 3 different ATM’s, but that doesn’t work. I then had to get my friend to phone Delta customer service to pay over the phone with his credit card. But he was working as well as had a 45 min wait till he could get through to customer service. Time was ticking and my flight was leaving soon.
I decided to try the ATM one more time. I try it again and next thing I know, $20 comes out. Weird! Because the ATM can only take out $20’s, I couldn’t pull out my $30. So with the $20 plus the $7 my friend gave, I was just barely able to purchase my checked bag! Wow God!
I ended up giving the extra $2 to a performing guy with a guitar and harmonica in the airport.
I get picked up in Phoenix and my friends there took care of all my needs. I never missed a meal. One of my prayers was to go to the Grand Canyon and my friends and I got to go there one day! While I was in Phoenix, another person messaged me and said they would buy my flight from Calgary to home. Also, my friend in Phoenix gave me $150 USD to help me as I do re-entry back home.
I now had every flight taken care of. I got to spend 1 day and night in Calgary and my friend let me stay at His place and bought me food.
My first day back I worked for a bit with my mom and made $60 and last night I randomly got offered $20 from a Turkish guy to give him a ride somewhere.
All these stories are of humans being generous with what they had. I probably can’t even count how many different people bought me something. If you are someone who has given to me financially, let me stay at your house, given me food, etc… thank you so much! I am so grateful for your generosity!
God has partnered with so many people in my life to be vessels of provision. All the resources on this earth are His and we are stewards of it. I praise God for partnering with His children to be faithful stewards in His household.
I am currently still $3709 USD away from being fully funded, although I am no longer on the field. AIM has been very gracious and allowed me to stay till the end, although all the money has not come in yet.
If you’d like to help me get fully funded, click the donate button at the top of the screen and follow the instructions. If you are a Canadian and would like a tax receipt, message me for details and I can get you that information. Thank you so much!
