I am just finishing up my last day here in Indonesia. The first 3 weeks of this trip have been amazing!
We began the month by helping set up and run a medical clinic for 200 refugees. After that we began going to a refugee school called RLN which stands for Refugee Learning Nest. Here we were able to teach English and other subjects that they were in need of. We wanted to help them out in whatever way we could, but we of course wanted to share with them the hope we have in Jesus too.
At RLN we were not able to talk about religion because the Indonesian government doesn’t allow them to. So we built relationships with the teachers at the school and spent time with them in our house and their houses. Here we were able to share about what we believe and got to live it out in various settings. On one of our last evenings here, we invited a lot of our friends over to share a meal with them and continue our relationships. Here is picture of us with them below.

Although no one has decided to follow Jesus, we know that good seeds were planted in good soil and God IS going to bring the increase.
We also were able to spend time with Refugee believers from Afghanistan. Most of the ones we met have only been a believer for less than 1 year! So they all came to Christ while in Indonesia. We also got to share some meals with them and teach them more about God and the Bible. They are very hungry and learned a lot from us. We got to encourage them in their faith and told them that even though they are refugees in another country, God still has a plan and purpose for them here.

This month I was sharing my faith a lot more than usual. Even though this is my third time doing this thing, I really haven’t gotten the evangelism part down. My natural instinct is to disciple the believers on my squad more than focus on the non-believers. I’ve been learning to have a balance. I shared my faith a lot the past 3 weeks and I am learning new ways to do so. I am learning to be led by the Spirit in what to say, how to say it and what actions I need to do. I really desire to grow in this this year and have already seen good progress.
Over all it was an amazing 3 weeks! Next I head to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a debrief with the squad. Then will be flying back to Indonesia for a final debrief with my last squad. After that, I fly to Calcutta, India for a Manistry month where all the men on the squad will be joined together for a month of ministry.
I’m super pumped for what God has for us. Our squad has already seen multiple people get healed after praying for them. Even one guy on the squad received healing!
At times it feels like the Kingdom isn’t advancing, but let me inform you that it is! God is so active all around the world and is always looking for mankind to partner with Him in His work.
Pray for my squad and I as we rest and prepare for our next month of ministry. Pray for more healings, miracles and deliverances. That His Kingdom would come here on earth as it is in Heaven!
