I have been blown away lately by how cool God is.

Something He spoke to me before I sent out any support letters is that He would use the least expected people to provide for His missions trip that we are apart of.

God loves to use the people that we as humans wouldn’t choose.

Example after example of this is found in the Word of God.

Moses had a speech problem, why would God use him to be a voice in his generation. Gideon was the least in his family, least in his tribe and God chose to use him mightily. David was the youngest in his family and a shepherd. The lowest position. Samuel the prophet would not of chose him if God did not say these words, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” John the Baptist lived in the wilderness, ate locust and honey and wore camel skin for clothes. God used him to prepare the way of the Lord. Peter denied he knew Jesus 3 times. God used him to lead the first church and perform awesome miracles where his shadow healed people.

God is not waiting for us to be perfect in order to use us. He is waiting for us to be willing.

God has been using my friends and family to pour out into this mission. God’s mission to see His Kingdom come. He has been using people (who I know don’t have much money) to provide in ways I did not expect. Even though God told me He would use these people, I am blown away in the ways they have given. They don’t have much, but they so desire to be a part of what God is doing. I may be the one leaving in January, but I know I am not alone. God has raised an army of willing disciples to pray, donate, encourage and support me in ways I did not expect. I am once again in awe of the God of this universe. He is the one in control. He will build His church.
