We’re just a bunch of kids, I think to myself.

I’m wrong, I know, but I look outside the bus window.

Dry fields as far as the eye can see, stagnant yellow ponds, the occasional house that appears empty.

So I look to my people.

We were told to sabbath well, so I’m glad to see them sleep in peace.

Peace on their faces that resemble that of children,

yet also that of lions at rest.

The potential at bay is hard to miss, because the leader of our pride, the author of all life. Has led us to joy in the most noble of quests

To see His mane sweep over nations, His roar bring rein, His power pure, unmatched and untamed.

And we would have it no other way.

We are just a bunch of kids, but we are so much more.

Never by our own strength,

of that I’m sure.

You see, our fear gives in to faith,

our weakness paves the way.

We can rest because our God stays awake.
