Here comes one of the mountainous part of this new adventure…
Fundraising.
This isn’t something I am extremely worried about, I am confident that if this is God’s plan then I will raise the funds in time. It’s $15,800 to be exact… So how exactly will I be raising money for this?
To start, I will have a job. As much as I strongly believe that God will bring in the money, I also believe that the money that will come in will be from me holding a job. Faith without works is dead, right? Two of my many jobs will be giving piano lessons and babysitting. So if you need a babysitter or piano teacher, you know where to find me.
Below are some ways you can help financially support me through my missions trip.
DONATING OPTIONS
Donating Online
- One way you can donate is by simply donating online. It’s fast and easy, only takes a few minutes!
To donate online, you can go to my blog page at jordanlouiseshea.theworldrace.org, and click on the “Support Me” link in the upper left hand side of the page and then follow the donating instructions.Giving through the Mail
Donation by Mail
- You can make all checks out to Adventures in Missions, just be sure to put my name (Jordan Shea) in the memo line so the money goes into my account. The checks can be mailed to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. **The checks can take a few weeks to process before they actually appear in my account.**
Monthly Giving
- You can give monthly if you want! Whether that’s through mailing a check or online. If you choose to give monthly, giving online has a great option to give automatically so you don’t even have to worry about it. Through a website called Dynapay, you can sign up at http://www.adventures.org/dynapay. There aren’t any processing fees when using Dynapay, but Dynapay won’t allow you to choose an automatic stop date at the time you set up donations. You have to contact Donor Relations when you want to stop the donations at [email protected] or call 1-800-881-2461 ex 251. With monthly donations through my blog, you can select a start date and automatic stop date.
Tax Deduction Information
• Adventures in Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures in Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult a tax adviser.

Other fun ways to give!
Yard Sale
- In the spring, I will be hosting a yard sale (hopefully a very large one). If you have things you would like to donate to the yard sale I would be more than happy to pick them up! *Date to be decided*
Baked Goods
- Who doesn’t like baked goods? Well, seeing as how I love to bake, and hopefully you love to eat, I will be selling a variety of baked goods that will change seasonly! My main way of communicating what I will be selling will be through Facebook, so take a look there to see what I’m baking this season! If you don’t have a Facebook, feel free to contact me. I will only be able to sell to those who live in the area, if you are out of state (or out of the New England hemisphere, I sadly will not be able to bake for you… *I do deliver*
T-shirts
- I will be selling shirts through Fund theNations, this amazing company that helps missionaries get the word out about their travel through t-shirts! These shirts can be great Christmas or birthday presents for anyone. You can purchase a shirt by contacting me and letting me know you’d like one! By the time I get 13 or more orders, I will let the company know and get them for you! Check out the design below!
Dinner
- In the spring I will be hosting a dinner at LifeHouse Church. In the next month or two I will be releasing more information on the date, time and price of the event!
Other giving options
- Along with the large sum of money I have to raise, I will also have other expenses I need to pay for to make this trip happen such as: gear, flights to and from training camp in Georgia, flight to the launch point within the U.S. and the flight back to Massachusetts when I return to the U.S., medications, etc. If you feel more comfortable donating to one of these expenses, please contact me directly.
I am a strong supporter of small business, for all of my work history so far, I had only worked at small business. If you are a small business owner and would like to support me, I would be more than happy to connect with you and see how we can work together.
If you have read through all of this and think that you don’t wish to donate, no worries! I gladly accept all the prayersI can get 🙂 I completely trust that God will provide one way or another. If He has gotten me this far I know He can provide.
Thank you so much for reading my blog post! Feel free to subscribe to my blog to get more updates and comment below, I’d love to hear what you have to say!
