“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2: 2

At home, my church talks about investing in reliable men and women who will invest in reliable men and women. It’s a model for spreading the kingdom of God that’s laid out in 2 Timothy 2: 2. It’s also the vision the Lord gave me when deciding to come back out to team lead. Month one is now over, and I’ve been able to see that play out. I’ve been having photos pop up on my facebook feed reminding me of my first month on the Race. I’ve reread blogs from that time and gone through old photos, both reminding me of the things I was walking through. I’m seriously so grateful to now be walking with the guys on my team through the same transformative experience I was in a year ago.

One of the big things our team has been walking through is Romans 12 and finding out what it looks like to have our minds transformed daily, what it looks like to have that play out through the way we think and act. They’ve had stories of the Lord moving in their lives and the communities they’re in. And it’s one of the most encouraging things to see young men walking out their faith and taking up the mantle of leadership in the body of Christ. My journey with the World Race is close to over (I still have two months, so keep following along! But in comparison to my original Race and the current trip that my guys are on, two months isn’t much!), but theirs is just beginning. So, I’d encourage everyone who’s been invested in my trip to check out their blogs. Their stories are now the fruit of what you’ve been investing in.

I’m now fully funded! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and followed along on my journey. I’ll be home in December, so my trip is close to an end. By supporting and following me, however, you’ve been pouring into the guys on my team too. If you’d like to see the fruit of that play out, I’d encourage you to check out their blogs! Some of them are still fundraising and they’re all in that process of transformation that’s inseparable from the Christian walk.
