Before leaving Swaziland, I wanted to share with you what my day to day life has looked like for the last three months!

6:15- Good morning!

6:30-7: Running (3 days a week)

7-7:30- Getting ready for the day

8-9- I begin my devo time at 8, but 8:30 is when the whole squad comes together as one to do their devos

9-9:30- Breakfast

9:30-10- Team chores!

  • Chores are anything from cleaning dishes/kitchen, bathrooms, bunk rooms, sweeping porches, or picking up trash around the compound/starting a trash fire.

10-10:30- On the way to ministry

10:30-3:30- Ministry at the care point

  • 12pm- Lunch

4-5- Shower time/free

5- Dinner

6-7- Team time

  • Sun- weekly debrief, Mon- team worship, Tues- journey markers, Wed- blogging, Thurs- feedback, Fri- free team time

After 7- Free!

  • This time is usually spent spending time with other squad mates, drinking hot chocolate with the team, showering if I didn’t have time earlier, listening to worship music, reading my bible, or watching a movie.

After dinner on Friday’s and Sunday’s there is a teaching by the squad leaders.

Saturday is our sabbath day which is usually filled with going to get wifi, getting groceries, resting, and/or doing laundry.

Sunday we are at church from 10:30-1:30 and the rest of our day is free until dinner. I usually spend this free time listening to a podcast.

Monday we are free until 2 and the rest of the day is filled with team time, deep cleaning, dinner, and women’s time.

Well there it is friends! This is what my life has looked like in Swaziland. Up next: Nepal!
