Hey everyone, sorry that it has been awhile. I’ve been really slacking on keeping up with blogs, and part of that involves me not stewarding my time to sit down and update everyone; so, it’s about time I caught you up on the last two months.

Let me start with how faithful God has been to me when all I am is just dust (Psalm 8:4, Psalm 144:3). These past two months, God has made it known that he sees me and has plans that exceed my understanding for sure. I want to begin by catching y’ all up from the

The last day of Japan was spent in Tokyo, where my squad and I tried to cram all the things of Tokyo down in a matter of 36 hours. For me, this looked like going to find a sumo match or practice only to find out it was closed down. I also took the metro into the heart of Tokyo in search of an Owl Cafe that ended up being just a petting zoo for owls (also it didn’t smell too fresh). Following that, I managed to find my way to one of Tokyo’s more famous and touristy locations: the Shibuya Crosswalk. There one of our team leaders and I made it our goal to locate and devour some of the famous Wagyu A5 graded beef. Though the price was high, the taste was well worth it. I have never had a better cut of meat in my life. We soon found our way back to the hostel and finished with Day One of Tokyo.

The following day was filled with short adventures, due to us needing to ride to the airport and board our plane. The highlight of this day was the quick pitstop to the Pokemon Cafe which was a nostalgic moment. Even though I still play and enjoy Pokemon to actually look back at something that I saw the beginning of was something else. Also, I had the not so proud moment of eating McDonald’s for lunch. In my defense international McDonald’s taste a little better than the ones at home. We arrived at the airport around 2 in the afternoon for a 4 o’clock flight to Taiwan our second country which is such a gem.

We arrived in Taiwan late January after a 4-hour flight from Japan, which from the airport was an hour drive into Taipei which our hostel had been arranged for us the next two weeks. This hostel was situated above the famous Shilin night market. Which is considered as the most popular and largest night market in all of Taiwan. It was like living at the fair every night. The morning was filled with fruit stands, and the nights filled with street foods and carnival games. They had fireworks going off due to the Chinese new year as well. It was just an experience in it of itself.

We ended up staying there for our debrief (which is usually a time where the whole squad gathers back together for a few days to share what God did the last month and catch up). Usually, debriefs are intended to be a few days, but our leadership saw to make it a two week all intensive workshop. We were given lessons in a whole manner of different things from spiritual warfare, gifts, and worship. The information that was poured into us was like wanting to dive into a pool and ending up in Niagara Falls. It wasn’t what you planned for and you don’t even know how you ended up there. However, it was powerful and a sight to see and kinda scary. The debrief revealed a lot of things about how I was doing and what I needed to improve on in this community so I can give life instead of division. That concludes this quick update and I do plan on writing a lot of blogs in the coming months so be prepared.
