So I’ve heard many people do this word for the year thing, and I have never exactly taken it upon myself to chose one or have someone pray a word over me. However, for the sake of this new Journey, I received one and chose one for myself.

ROOTED

The one I received was Rooted: Some verses that resonated with me are the following.

Matthew 13:3-9: Which is the parable of the sower. In verse 6, it speaks of seeds whose roots weren’t sufficient and they withered away.

Mark 11:20-25: Is where Jesus curses a fig tree and it becomes withered. He also mentions praying without any doubt and having faith to move mountains.

Revelation 22:16: Jesus declares he is the root and descendant of David in this verse along with being a bright morning star.

Psalm 1:3: Is about the way of Righteous and Wicked. The Righteousness who yields fruit at the right time, his leaves never fall. He also succeeds at everything he attempts.

Romans 11:16-24: It speaks on how a small portion makes the whole batch holy. Also, how it”s because of God’s merciful kindness that I am included.

Colossians 2:6-7: Being rooted and built up in his faith and to be overflowing with thankfulness.

LIGHT BEARER:

The the following are verses that I connect with Light Bearer.

Matthew 5:15-16

“15. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand.
16. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand – shine! Keep an open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”

Psalm 119:105

“105. Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light on my Path”

John 1:5

“5. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it”

John 12:35-36

” 35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.
36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.”

From being rooted in Christ and Bearing The light that is in me. I find the words might come to bear a lot of truth and understanding for the future of my race. Please continue to pray for me, and my squad as we are in Taipei, Taiwan. I will be writing another blog soon.
