It has been a while since I have blogged, sorry guys. But I am getting back on track since I am leaving Saturday for training camp. Yay! My excitement level is through the roof. I finally get to meet my squad face to face and get this race stared.
With training camp coming up, I had to pack. Oh no. Let me just say that I am always the one in my family to wait the night before we leave for vacation to start packing. When I finally get around to it, I usually just throw half of what I own in four bag and pray there is enough room in the car. This situation is slightly different to say the lease. I have a 65 liter backpack to fit everything I’ll need so only essentials can go. As I am getting all of my things together to pack, it hits me that I have a spiritual backpack that I haven’t been taking care of.
Just over the last week with losing a squad mate (Anastasia Sloan), feeling the high of my squad rallying together and dealing with personal pass failures, I realized that I was packing I’m spiritual backpack with grace and thankfulness but also disappointment and bitterness. Instead, I should have been taking those situations whether good or bad to the Lord, worked them out then let them go of what I needed to. God wants to be involved every part of our life.
Don’t let your spiritual backpack hold you back and keep you making a difference for Christ. God is too good to waste time worrying about things we can’t change.
