This post won't be too long, but I do have some awesome news!! We made it to Nicaragua safely and we're juggling a few things all at once. Some days we're doing manual labor, other days we're starting a program called unsung heroes. (Read next post.) They also have throw in a few random projects on the side. The other day we got to go hang out at a retirement home. When we first showed up it was kind of awkward. Unlike kids who don't care if you don't know their language, adults want to talk to you. When you can't converse it makes things difficult and frustrating since you can't just throw them in the air and they laugh.

Anyway, we started cleaning around the grounds, partially to avoid the awkwardness, but also to give some of them a break. It started to rain though which made us start talking with everyone. As I sat there feeling somewhat useless, our contact Alejandro grabbed us and said a sick man needed prayer. He was mostly bed ridden, minus receiving a lot of assistance to get to a near by chair every once in a while.

When we finished praying for this man Alejandro came in again and said another man wants prayer too.

I heard, "Justino quiere orar. Quiere receiver Jesus Cristo." I'm pretty sure this wasn't exactly what he said, this is just what my ears registered. Anyway. It translates to "Justino wants prayer. He wants to receive Christ!"

Justino is an 88 year old man who is brittle but gave one of the strongest hugs I've ever had. After we prayed with him, Alejandro prayed with him in Spanish and explained to him what just happened. You could see the feeling of grace and love on his face. It was fantastic!

That is all. Hopefully I'll get to post a picture in the next few days.
