Well, it is official, we have made it to Romania!!! I
already love it here. Although I have only been here for a short time, it has
already become a place that has caused me to sit back and look at the life I am
leading…. Which is usually followed by the thought… ” I just can’t believe it…
9 months and I still can’t believe it… this is my life!”. If there is one thing that I have
learned on this trip it is that God is GOOD and God is FAITHFUL. While this doesn’t always mean that these
characteristics of God’s are always easy to see, and that everything in my life is “hunky-dorey” all the
time, there are times when these amazing character qualities of God’s are “in your
face” evident.
For example:
Here in Romania I have the priviledge of staying at a place
with
1. A hot shower
with actual water pressure.
2. An actual bed with clean, machine washed, sheets.
3. A washing machine.
4. Delicious food with lots of yummy veggies.
5. 24/7 internet access.
6. A mall within a decent distance ( as in it doesn’t have
to be an all day excursion)
7. A MacDonald’s 3 miles away.
AND…. (drumroll if you will)
6. Two (count it, 2) real upright pianos!!!! ( I literally got tears in my eyes when
I saw them).
This month we will have the opportunity to work with some
adorable kids, do a little physical labor, such as painting and cleaning,
Vacation Bible School, and whatever else needs to be done here at “Casa Shalom”. We are also taking Romanian
lessons every morning.
The team and I are doing really well, and are excited to be
moving on to Europe. Thank you all
for your constant prayers!
Loves,
Jo
