My name is Jordan Snellenberger, but if your on this page then you probably already know that. 🙂 I am a Junior at Western Michigan University, and I am studying to become a Music Therapist.  I play the piano as my main instrument, but I also love to sing and I am trying to get better at the guitar.  In all reality, I just love music.  I love to play it, listen to it, teach it, learn about it…. and I am convinced that it is one of God’s greatest gifts.

Other than that, I am the oldest of 5 siblings.  I enjoy summer, swimming, animals, and a good movie.  I talk a lot, but I don’t mind just listening.  I love to read, and can lose myself in a good book.  I enjoy spending time with people and love just chatting with friends, but I am thankful for “alone time” as well.

I love to talk about Jesus and I enjoy digging deep through scripture.  I have a heart for people, but especially for woman and girls, who don’t know their value in Christ.   My life was changed the summer I spent studying Ephesians with my mentor.  I never knew about all the promises this particular book of the Bible holds.  The message that “In Christ” we are accepted, adopted, forgiven, redeemed, blessed, and loved changed me, and ever since I have had a desire to share this news with others.

I never in a million years thought that I would be where I am today, writing a blog about myself for an 11 month missions trip.  I have always been the “home body, and if you had asked me a year ago, or 6 months ago for that matter, abut missions I would have told you that I’ll tell people about Jesus within the church walls, but in reality what I was saying is that “I’m comfortable and I have MY plans, please don’t mess with that”.  However, now that I am here, I wouldn’t have it any other way, and I find myself so thankful for the fact that Jesus truly knows me better than I know myself.

After all is said and done, I think the most important thing to know about me is that I love Jesus with all my heart, and I long to grow deeper with Him daily.  He sees the deepest part of me, and to my amazement He is always the one that loves me best!  I am so thankful for this opportunity to grow deeper with Him, with others who love Him, and to share the Love of my life with a world who doesn’t know just how valuable they are!
