Beginning of the End
Today’s the first day of the end. End of my senior year that is. The end of my last season as a softball player. It’s crazy, the last 15 years I have played softball and gone to school. And that all the ends come May when I walk across that stage & tie my cleats for the last time.
A few months ago I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life once softball ended. Did I want to continue to go to school and coach? Or did I want to do something else? And God being the amazing God He is, put the World Race on my heart.
Even though this is the beginning of the end of my senior year, God is the Alpha and the Omega. Which means He is the Beginning and the End. So even though this chapter of my life closes in 4 months…He doesn’t!!! God says in Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
It’s reassuring to know even though my 4 years of collegiate softball will come to an end soon, God still is there for me and always will be. I won’t step between those lines again as a softball player. I’ve learned a lot between those 2 lines, made countless friendships, gotten lots of bruises and so much more. But the most important thing I learned between those 2 lines was the love of God and how to glorify Him every single day whether it be between those 2 lines or off the field. I will take what I learned and continue to learn between those 2 lines forever. I thank God for giving me the ability to play softball because without it I wouldn’t be who I am. He has been with me every step of the way and I can’t wait to see what the future holds as this chapter ends and another one begins
With all my love,
Jordan
