Dear Supporter,
Have you ever yearned for more? Yearned for more without truly understanding what more really means? That’s where I’ve been for the last year and a half. Not truly knowing what I wanted out of life and not really knowing what all was out there for me. I wanted, needed something more than what I had. I’ve finally figured out what that “more” looks like for me.
Here’s a little background about me: I’m 23 years old, and I graduated from West Texas A&M University in December of 2014. For close to two years, I’ve been applying for full-time jobs to no avail. I came as close as having second interviews but never any further than that. During this time, I’ve felt unworthy and felt that I’m not good enough. It’s something that I’ve struggled with for some time now. I’ll come right out and say it: I’m insecure. I always have been. I always tune out anyone who says I am good enough. But I’ve decided it’s finally time to start listening. I am worthy. I am good enough. Starting my new journey has already shown me this. This is the time for me to grow closer to God and to learn more about who I am in His image.
I’ve been accepted to a program called the World Race in which squads of 40-55 people travel in teams to 11 different countries doing mission work. Basically, I will pack up my entire life into two backpacks with a tent and sleeping bag and head out into the mission field to see what God has in store for me. Here’s a list of the countries I will be visiting: Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Montenegro, Romania, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia. When we get to the countries, our ministry contacts will give us our “assignments” and then assist us with anything we need. I don’t know what all we will be doing, but it could be anything from working in orphanages to working in schools to working in churches along with a variety of different things.
To be able to go on the World Race, I have to raise $16,617. My first deadline of $5000 is September 23, and I cannot do this without your help. This money will go towards travel, lodging, food, administrative costs and more. If you feel called to support my journey, please feel free to donate in one of the following ways.

If you are not able to support financially, I am also in need of an amazing team of prayer warriors not only for myself but for the squad that I will be traveling with. We will be traveling the world and living a community lifestyle for a year, and we need people who will pray for us throughout this time.
Throughout my journey, I will be blogging about my experiences. Please subscribe to my blog if you would like to keep up with my World Race journey at jordanoursbourn.theworldrace.org.
If you have any questions or want to talk to me about my journey, please let me know! With your help, this dream can become reality!
THANK YOU!
Jordan Oursbourn
