THERE ARE:
1,440… minutes in a day
10,080 minutes in a week
40,320 to 44,640 minutes in one month
…and 525,600 minutes in one year.

So, take that last number and multiply it by your age, and that is how many minutes you have been alive and breathing on this earth.

You may think your defined by how you live your life in its entirety, or maybe by how you have lived the past several years or even just this last year for that matter…

I would argue to say that your defined by those small units of time called minutes.

A minute may not seem that important, I mean really, what is ONE minute out of the total 12,351,600+ I have lived so far?

I can tell you, for a fact, that on December 22, 2009, I had TWO of the most life- changing minutes of my life.  I met a young woman named LOLA  (Click here to read her story). Because I took TWO minutes out of my night to speak to her, my life as been altered forever.  Because of TWO minutes, I now have a face, not a statistic, ingraved on my mind and heart.

BUT TO MAKE THOSE TWO MINUTES COUNT I HAD TO BE INTENTIONAL…

A year can not go by without having 525,600 minutes. So, I am challenging myself and all of you to really reflect on what minutes have really defined you?

It only takes ONE minute dwelling on the wrong thing to slip back into a habit…
Try telling Peter minutes do not count after he walked on water in Matthew 14…
It only takes minutes to ruin your life, and it only takes minutes to restore life (Luke 7:15)…
In an emergency ONE MINUTE can be the difference between life or death…
It only takes a minute to choose in, or a minute to choose out…

What could we really do with all our minutes?

 D
on’t let your minutes add up to days and years wasted,
and become days and years of “What if’s,” “What could have
 been’s,” or “I should have’s.”

I need MY minutes to count…YOU need your minutes to count…WE need eachothers’ minutes to count!
