Thousands of citizens gathered around…
All forms of media, including television and radio broadcasters, waiting
All in anticipation for one man to speak…The PRESIDENT of GHANA.

Up until the point of the first words spoken from the mic, this seems to be a “normal” Presidential address that I could watch in America of our own president. HOWEVER, what happens next is something very different, that even the United States, the country founded on Christian freedom, does not experience.

Over the next couple of hours we had church with the President of Ghana. This address/service was the close to a national week of fasting and prayer, that was instituted by the government of Ghana at the beginning of this year!
We had full out worship, including the famous “freedom of dance” Africans experiences in their worship. There were numerous prayers lifted up by representatives of each denomination coming together as ONE.  A sermon was preached, and scripture was read by the Vice President and other officials. The President read some scripture, prayed a prayer of thanksgiving, and gave a mini-sermon (he was on fire). In our program there was, also, a page that would have definitely led me to Christ, if I was still lost. There was even an offering!
It was such a blessing to celebrate and worship with citizens of this country. I feel at home here in Ghana because of the spiritual climate. This is the only country I have been to, including the United States, that I would even consider calling a Christian nation. It is amazing! I now want to DREAM and PRAY, more than ever, that the spiritual climate of the United States changes and we, too, could be called a Christian nation–from the citizens all the way to the Presidency.

**Ghana is absolutely amazing, but our internet is very slow and limited.  We are preaching alot at revivals, going to orphanages, praying at hospitals, and all sorts of ministry this month.  I will update as much as possible!**
