As a team, INCREASE, has chosen to focus on our dreams for the month. Like our “Identity in Christ” last month, we have each had a turn to process and discuss our dreams with each other. I would like to share mine with you:
Webster’s dictionary defines a dream as something hoped for: something that somebody hopes, longs, or is ambitious for, usually something difficult to attain or far removed from present circumstances. It can also be defined as an idle hope: an idea or hope that is impractical or unlikely ever to be realized
Let me make sure I have this right, dreams are usually difficult, impractical, or unachievable. Check! Mine are IMPOSSIBLE without God going before me and walking beside me. They are far removed from my present circumstances. Check! It is going to take me a lifetime to reach these dreams and the dreams still berthing within me.
The antonym for dream is REALITY. Well, I declare that my God-sized dreams will become my REALITY.
My Dreams:
To love God with my whole heart, mind, and soul and to love everyone around me like God does.
To see Human Trafficking and Sexual Slavery come to an END.
To one day see brothels become churches…
Pimps become preachers…
Prostitutes become spiritual arsonists spreading the fire of God…
The paying men become Godly leaders over their families.
To have a safe haven for young women coming out of prostitution to come to and learn a skill that will help
them get on their feet and never have to fall back on prostitution every again!
To reach people of influence for God’s Kingdom.
Angelina Jolie: she has a heart for the orphans
Oprah: she has a god-given gift to lead
Condoleezza Rice: in the position to impact the nations–LITERALLY
Various moviestars, politicians, and musicians: they have the platforms and resources to really help change
the world for Christ if they themselves were to encounter God.
To walk like Christ did (just a by-product from true Intimacy with Christ).
Speak things into being…
Lay hands on the sick and they get healed…
The faith to command and control the forces of darkness and over the natural world…
Know my father is speaking to me, and know what He is saying…
Have a wisdom from above…
Unlock the mysteries of God…
Live in and operate in the prophetic…
Bring freedom to the captives…
No language barriers…
Raise the dead…
Dreams, visions, words of knowledge…
All in the Name of the one who sent me!
To Reach the nations.
By having a place for teenage girls coming out of the sex trade (they come from all over)…
To help those coming behind me to catch the reality of how God intended us to live.
To grow deeper every day.
Jeremiah 17: 8 paints a picture of a tree and its roots. I will be a tree DEEPLY rooted and anchored in Christ.
He will be the water I thirst on to grow stronger and deeper. He will be the substance in my growth. My roots
will intertwine throughout this whole earth. My branches will extend to the east and the west reaching out with
all that is in me. My leaves will provide a safe shade to those being tormented by the drought and heat that
this world has to offer. My fruit will be a direct result of the depth that my roots choose to go to. My fruit will
contain seeds to be planted. My height will increase so people can not help but look up and find our Creator in
the Heavens.
To have the boldness to speak to someone when God tells me too, wherever I may be.
To cultivate the presence of God in worship via the talent He has given me.
Partnering with people so full of God that when we play for our King we get wrecked over and I w over
again through our passion for music. Partnering with those who play for NO ONE but the Lord. The Kim
Daniels’ and the Matt Snyder’s of this world!
To reach my absolute FULL-potential.
To use writing to further God’s Kingdom in someway.
To see my friends fighting homosexuality be wrecked by God and become the women of God they were called to
be.
To never stop dreaming.
*NEVER STOP DREAMING! There are God-sized dreams in all of us…let’s make them a reality!
