Just a brief Q&A for everyone…

What type of ministry will I be doing this month?

I am in Cambodia working in Phnom Penh. I was actually at the doctor during the orientation, but basically we will be working in a few different areas. Our ministry has a house for women who have come out of some form bondage or slavery. At this house they learn a trade, and in this case, it is to make purses and other items made from fabric. Typically these ministries make purses that are native to the country, but check this out! Some of the purses that these women made were on Runway in New York last year! So this ministry is legit!!! We will also be teaching music to people in the village of Sa’ang (don’t try to find it on a map haha). Our contacts really want to use my team for worship, but we do not know what that will look like yet. My favorite part is that they have a break-dancing school for children and youth in the community. I already talked to the teacher, and I get to learn in my off time!!! SAWEET!

What does our housing condition look like this month?

PRAYER REQUEST: Due to complications with our original contact and budget stuff with this contact, we are staying in a guesthouse down the street from our ministry. The prayer request is for God to use my team to change the atmosphere of this guesthouse. The “guesthouse” is like a hotel above a restaurant. However, there are women who entice men to come eat here and then the men can pay for more services upstairs in a room (prostitutes). We feel completely safe, and as a team we would rather stay in places like this to be used by God. We already have a relationship with the owners here, even if it is a customer/renter relationship. So please pray that over this next month we see God’s Kingdom move in this place, and see this place become strictly a restaurant and guest house.

How is my health?
Most of you have heard that I have been a little sick lately and I just wanted to give you an update from me. My chest XRAY came back negative for pneumonia, and my bronchitis is finally going away with this second dose of antibiotics. I am feeling 90%     better so thank you for all the prayers.
