Before I came on this trip several people prayed over me. A few of them had the same line in the prayer which was, “You will not even need to take any medicine this year because you won’t get sick.” I think a couple of them had prayed that because they knew I was not taking malaria medicine, because I felt like I didn’t need to take it. My mom also prayed with me, and said I won’t even need medicine for a headache.
Since the first day here, I have just taken those to heart. My catchphrase is “I’M NOT GETTING SICK.” There have been several times so far that I have started to get sick and I prayed it away. Because of Jesus, I have not needed any medicine so far and it has just been a boost to my faith. God is Awesome.
I say my catchphrase a lot, which has kind of started a new faith, because now there are two of us that claim “WE‘RE NOT GETTING SICK.” A couple of girls on a different had what they thought was scabies, and God has been using me to pray for the sick on our teams. PRAISE REPORT: whatever they had stopped spreading and stopped itching! I believe this is part of my new coat. I’m growing into a faith that believes Jesus at His words, and believes with all my heart that Healings ARE going to happen!
I have been claiming the following scripture,
Matthew 4: 23-24 “Jesus was going all over Galilee teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing EVERY disease and sickness among the people. Then the news about Him spread throughout Syria. So they brought to Him ALL those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics. And He healed them.”
It never says HE HEALED SOME….so I’m believing in every person’s healing that we come across.
