Y'all, God is so good!! Thanks to the generosity of all my wonderful supporters, I have met my financial deadline and am able to launch with my team on July 3rd!!
This time last week I still had $3,300 left to raise in order to meet my financial deadline and cover last minute supply expenses. My wonderful World Race teammates committed to fast and pray all day on Sunday asking the Lord to provide the remaining funds for myself and another team member.
I was out of town last week visiting my best friend in Texas, so my dad was going to make an announcement on my behalf to our church family about my remaining financial needs. My best friend and I knew my dad was going to make that announcement, so that morning she and I prayed over the services at church and asked the Lord to provide over and above the needed amount.
I'm not kidding when I tell you this, we said "Amen." and my phone immediately buzzed with a text from my dad that said,
"Someone just handed me $300 dollars for you."
From that moment on, money started pouring in from all over…even from people who I don't even know. God has blown me away with His provision. He has provided abundantly more than I ever imagined. And so quickly too!! That Sunday we raised well over $1,000 dollars. As the week went on, people kept giving and kept giving.
He showed me the true meaning of Luke 11 (msg):
"Ask and you’ll get;
Seek and you’ll find;
Knock and the door will open.
“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need.
This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in.
If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate?
If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider?
As bad as you are, you wouldn’t think of such a thing—you’re at least decent to your own children.
And don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?”
In a week we have raised over $4,000 dollars…that is AMAZING!!!
Also, I just found out that the remaining gear I listed on a previous blog has been paid for by a sweet family friend!! 😀
The Lord wants to give good gifts to His children if only we simply ask.
Thank you so so much to all of you who have partnered with me in this journey both financially and prayerfully. I've been so truly blessed to see God raising up an army of supporters to walk alongside me as we go to the nations. You are helping bring Christ's love to the world…Thank you thank you thank you!!
