Life is about glory
About power and fame
About every single person out there
Knowing your name
Life is about money
And making people submit
About owning the next big thing
About showing just how hard you can hit
Life is about feeling good
And doing all it takes
Drugs, alcohol, sex, violence
Not believing in mistakes
Life is about one person
Me. Myself. I.
Seeing how much I can store up
Until the day I die
But if you take a closer look
And raise your eyes up to the sky
You will re-read this first stanza
And realize it’s all a LIE.
Life is still about glory
And the power and the fame
But the roles are switched and everything is for the glory of His Name
So life aint about the money
As Jessie J would say
Because sometimes your life in a 50lb pack
Is what it means to obey
Sometimes it won’t feel so good to give up your own way
But pick up your cross and follow him
It will be more then worth it on that day
Submission of others should be no ones desire
But submit yourself at the foot of the cross
And avoid that burning fire.
Life is about one person
The three in one Being
Father. Son. Holy Spirit.
Yahweh. Almighty King.
So you can’t take it with you
Learn to say goodbye
But my friend there is no need for weeping
Above us is more then just sky.
