Dear friends, family, and brothers and sisters in Christ,
I have been presented with an incredible, opportunity. In November I heard about a trip my friend was going on called The World Race. The World Race is a stretching journey into 11 countries in 11 months to bring God’s kingdom into the world while amongst a real and raw community. “This unique mission trip is a challenging adventure for young adults to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it's not about you; it's about the Kingdom.”
Immediately after hearing about the trip I was hooked. I went to the website, watched the videos and read the stories as tears streamed down my cheeks. During the World Race the racers are presented with countless opportunities to help those in need and bring God’s kingdom to the nations. There are many opportunities such as working in orphanages, and teaching English in schools. This is a wonderful opportunity because concentration at my university is ESL. Racers also have the chance to befriend and bring hope to women working in the red light districts. Lastly, racers will feed the homeless and build houses for the needy. They do all these things and more.
I feel as though God is calling me to this mission and I have never been more excited. He is going to form me and teach me so in so many ways. I know God will use this trip to give me hope so that in turn I can spread hope to everyone around me. I have a heart for the nations and the children of God. I have a desire to spread the word of the Gospel and unveil the kingdom of God.
The 11 countries I will be going to are Ireland, Romania, Ukraine, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, and Taiwan. I know that the Lord has amazing plans for each of these countries. I graduate in May and then I will leave for the race this coming July.
I urge you to partner with me on this incredible journey. In order to be fully funded for the race I need $15,500. This price includes all food, housing, and travel expenses for the entire 11 months. I will need some additional funding to provide me with extra traveling expenses. I know that this number is very big but I also know that our God is even bigger .If he truly wants me to go he will provide. I really appreciate any donation you may have.
