Since the accident I have received an immense amount of blessings from all of you. I have been given gifts, flowers, meals and a large amount of cards both from people I know and from complete strangers who are praying for me. I have had visitors come to see me in the hospital and at home. My teammates were there every step of the way in Romania, and some of my squad mates have been praying for me daily. Many of you have said that I am an inspiration. I want you to know that the only reason I am able to inspire is because you have all inspired me so much. Without your prayers, love, encouragement, and support I would not have the motivation to get better. Words cannot express how grateful I am to everyone.
I have been given a second chance at life, and although I don’t believe in reincarnation or anything like that I no longer believe in YOLO either. God raised me up out of the ashes once again. (See my Psalm) So far I have not been making the most of this second chance. I have been resting, healing, and watching a lot of T.V. That is not what I want my life to look like. Another thing that I have been doing a lot lately is daydreaming about India. I go on Facebook and read my squad mates blogs. I look at their pictures and watch their videos over and over again. I wait for them to have good enough Internet to message on Facebook of Skype. But guess what?!?!?! I am no longer just going to have to imagine what they are up to and daydream about where they are. Do you know why?!?!? BECAUSE I AM GOING TO BE BACK WITH THEM?! In less then two weeks I will be flying to Kathmandu, Nepal to meet my squad at debrief. I will then continue with them hopefully for the next 7months.
In order to do that however I must pay for part of my plane ticket there which is about $400. Then in order to stay on the race past January I still need about $5,000. God has used you all to provide so much already. He has shown me so many miracles this past month. I now know that He does miracles all the time so I know that providing the money will be no problem for Him.
Please be in prayer about donating. Every little bit helps. Also, please be continuing to pray for my complete physical healing. My pelvis is almost completely healed but I do get sore after walking longer distances. Nepal has A LOT of walking and hiking. It is very mountainous and some of the ministry sites are in very remote places. Pray that God gives me the energy and strength I need to get around. I love you all so much and am so excited to share more stories with you about how God is using my second chance at life (well I guess third if you want to get technical:). I promise it won’t be spent just sitting and watching T.V. anymore. READY…SET…. GO. “SO I GO”
