hey friends,

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve updated the blog. I’m currently in Macedonia, but I wanted to posted some pics to give you a piece of what Albania was like last month. It was probably one of the hardest months on the race so far. Emotionally, spiritually and mentally. We had a lot of hurdles to climb but we made it through stronger as a team and individually.

We climbed a mountain our first week!

These girls went to the high school we worked it the first two weeks. This was taken at their last day of school party. Which was basically five hours of non stop dancing To Ablanian music. I learned all the dances and left completly covered in sweat. at the end of our time at the school, two girls were saved. PTL!

We took the kids from the church to play some soccer one evening! Always my favorite time!

This little one, I met the last week at a VBS we helped put on and she loved playing with my hair!

Our last week, we took on a paint project at the new church building they bought in a small town outside of where we were in Lushnje. Malia, Rachel and Courtney painted the mountains and sun and I did the lettering.

Important things month 6 taught me:

1. Learning to have grace like Jesus is a choice and it’s hard but can be done.

2. The enemy will use division to break down people living for the kingdom.

3. Flesh and the Spirit are always at battle. I’m battling my pride daily.

4. it’s ok to cry and not be ok.

5. Trusting men (guys on my team) to be there for me emotionally is a lot harder to accept but freeing when I do.

6. The more we invite God into the deep dark scary places the less we feel uninvited by other.

7. Im nothing but a broken selfish person without God. His restoration is real and valuable when we accept Our brokenness and walk through eternal healing.

8. optimisim brings joy.

Untill next time!
