Country #5: Thailand
We arrived in
Bangkok Thailand a little over a week ago but have since departed and now the
men on the squad are in an area known as Chiangmai. This month is a unique
month in that the men and the women separate from each other to take part in different ministries. The women predominantly work with victims of sex
trafficking and the men partake in “Manistry,” which is a chance for the men to
work with just the men in various service opportunities.
Before we begin
our “Manistry” for the month, we have been able to rest and just spend some
quality time with the guys. After we got off a fourteen-hour train ride, we
figured out that we were not far away from Tiger Kingdom, so we paid a little
visit to some tigers. Then not too long after that we walked to a nearby ring
to watch a Muay Thai tournament. The next day we rented motor scooters and
drove an hour and a half to a 1,000ft waterfall, which we climbed.
I know that our
ministry has not started yet but this “Manistry” month has been nothing short
of amazing so far.
