The next year of my life will be filled with unpredictability and uncertainty on the World Race. It will also be filled with excitement and adventures.
While on the race I might:
Play with orphans
Pray over the sick and dying
Commune with widows
Dance
Teach in schools
Build houses
Share my faith
Worship on the top of a mountain
Help at medical centers
Feed the hungry
Befriend prostitutes
Have my heart broken into a million little pieces; only to have it rebuilt by God
Grow in a Christian community with my teammates
Go door-to-door or hut-to-hut sharing the love of God with people who don’t know him
Share my testimony
Pass out bibles and supplies
Discover new passions
Build life-long friendships
Learn to trust the Lord with all of myself by giving up complete control
…No matter what each day may hold, I know that God will be there: working in me and through me to share His love with His people. I am prepared for a year of going to sleep filthy and exhausted each night; a year of challenges and tough questions; a year of new discoveries and new friendships; a year of furthering God’s kingdom and growing in His love; a year to be changed.
