We tend to base our lives on right and wrong. I’ve seen so many Christians (including myself) freeze with paralysis when they have to choose between two or more options that are both “right”.
Which career path should I follow? Who should I marry? Should I buy soy milk or almond milk?
They beat themselves up, straining their ears trying to hear something from God, because they’re scared of making the “wrong” choice.
But what if we stopped looking at life through the lenses of right and wrong? What if we based all of our choices on a different measuring stick? After all, God never wanted Adam and Eve to eat from the tree that would open our eyes to good and evil.
There was a different tree in the garden, you know: The Tree of Life.
So what if we base all our decisions on the scale of life and death? Let go of right and wrong, and instead make choices that facilitate life.
