1: Yoga
I wasn't expecting to learn this at training camp, but it just so happens that world-class yoga instructor Andi Moore was on my squad. Namaste.

2: Showers are overrated
Setting a new personal record, I only took two showers all week, pushing my standards of personal hygiene to new limits.

3: Personal space? What's that?
My entire squad of about 60 people was required to sleep on a school bus for a night. Apparently personal space doesn't exist overseas anyways.

4: Food for the Hungry = awesome
As a partner of Adventures in Missions, Food for the Hungry is an organization that feeds people and tells them about Jesus. I could see myself investing in this organization sometime in the future.

5: Personality types
I am in INTP (Introverted, intuitive, thinking, perceiver). There are many different personality combinations, and they're all very interesting. Here's a website that explains them all in better detail than I can: MBTI Personality Types

6: Silverware is a luxury
Ok, I expected the white rice.. What I didn't expect was the fact that I had to eat it with chopsticks or my bare hands. Hand sanitizer, you complete me.

7: How to live like the church in Acts 2
One day our squad was required to separate all our belongings into two piles. One of the piles was taken away, and with what we had left, we had to share our tents, clothes, and toothbrushes with our less fortunate squadmates. Talk about team bonding!

8: God heals people through prayer
It's not like our prayers were super spiritual or anything, but God just answered them. Lots of people experienced restoration after being prayed for. Very cool.

9: Dance moves
Making a fool of myself on the dance floor isn't really my favorite thing to do, but I have to admit that it can actually be kinda fun. Thank you Jeremy, Noe, Mary, and everyone else who encouraged me to step out my box.
