When I first was looking at participating in the World Race the sticker price truly made me drop my jaw. Seventeen thousand dollars, ARE THEY INSANE? Even everyone I talked to jaws hit the floor when I told them how much I would need to raise. However, I realized to change my situation, I would have to change my mindset. Like most things, my mom was the first one to encourage me, she said, “decide you’re going and go.” This seemed like such a simple notion, so why could my brain not just decide that easily. I read Proverbs 3:5-6 and it made so much sense!
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.”
With this on my mind, I did just that, I trusted in the Lord. So flash forward, here I am heading into the second month of fundraising, overwhelmed by the generosity of those around me. With the help of my World Race cohort I want to introduce my FUNdraisers, I hope you will find them to be fun and unique. I will be doing these three fundraisers before I leave and I am sure more once I am abroad.

Adopt a Country—Starting February 8th!
It’s time to adopt a country. I’ll have 11 Jars- one for each country I’ll be going to while on the World Race. All you have to do is claim a jar and fill it up with change and notes of encouragement.
I can deliver/mail the jars and pick them back up when they are filled. Each jar will include prayer requests and fun facts about the country!
BONUS- Anyone who Adopts a Country will receive a postcard from the country they adopted!

How it works…Each box holds a number representing a donation amount. Any box from $1 -$100 is available and once that amount has been given, I will fill in the corresponding box.
If every box is “adopted” I will raise $5,050!!
Boxes with gift boxes next to them will be INSTANT WINNERS and win a special prize!ALSO, everyone who adopts a box (no matter the amount) will be entered in a raffle to win a race related prize.
