I never expected it to happen like this.
When I was told I would need to raise $16,561 to go on the World Race, I had NO idea how this would happen. I had never raised money like this before, and a figure this large was unfathomable. I panicked thinking of every possible fundraiser I could do to raise money, but even those ideas quivered under the daunting shadow of this Goliath amount.
I imagined that if I did raise all of the money, it’d be at the last minute. That I’d be scraping by, just barely staying on the Race by the skin of my teeth.
Friends, I say this with overwhelming thanksgiving, and all glory to God…
I have raised $13,632.
Over $13,500. HOW IS THAT REAL!?!? I’ve never known this kind of money before. And to think that this amount was raised little by little (and sometimes not so little!) over this past year, by the generosity of almost a hundred different supporters, simply BLOWS MY EVER LOVING MIND. I wish I could say thank you a million times over to each person who has given to my Race. Each and every one of you has joined me in saying yes to God’s call, and I have no doubt that your donation will produce a fruit in this upcoming year far surpassing anything you can imagine!
All this to say, here is where I stand.
As of September 1st, exactly ONE MONTH before I launch out on the World Race, I still have $2,929 left to raise before I am fully funded.
In the past couple of weeks, as God has been leading me through the Gospels, He has been teaching me about audacious Kingdom faith. Jesus says in Mark 11:24: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” I tend to be a realist, and to see things through the realm of what seems “likely” to happen, but God is teaching me to abandon my worldly perspective. He is calling me this next year to step out in faith, and to believe for things that ONLY HE can do. Things that I couldn’t hope to do on my own, even if I tried.
If I want to truly follow Jesus in the next year, I have to live by faith in His supernatural power to see the Kingdom of Heaven come in salvations and miracles.
So, I’m ready to start this faith journey now.
What I attempt to raise in the next month is more than any monthly amount I’ve raised yet. It’s intimidating, no doubt. But I believe.
I believe in faith for the remaining $2,929 to come in 30 days time.
So my friends, will you believe in faith with me? Will you pray alongside me for a financial miracle to break out? Will you seek the Lord for ways in which He can use you to support this mission?
If you have yet to give, or have plans to in the future, I ask that you would prayerfully consider asking the Lord how you can best support this mission before October 1st. Every donation will play a huge part in supporting my global ministry over the next year.
My constant prayer for those who have supported me financially is that God will return your gift back to you in abundance, as Jesus promises in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
I cannot wait to show you just how much your donation will do in the next year. I cannot wait to share with you in the glory of God’s good works that will come forth in the next year. I cannot wait to bring Jesus to the nations, and to bring you along the journey with me.
