Hello Everyone!
I am so excited that you’re checking out my World Race blog!
I will constantly be updating this site informing you guys on everything I am doing leading up to my World Race launch this October. Once I am out in the ministry field I will be updating this blog, letting you all know what kind of amazing work my squad and I are getting to be apart of, country to country.
So keep in touch!
I have to do quite a bit of fundraising before I leave in October, and I will need all the help I can get!
One of the easiest ways you can partner with me on my race is by purchasing a postcard!
I have created a poster board with the full list of all the countries I will be working in. On the poster board next to each individual country are 15 smaller (poorly drawn) envelopes.
Each envelope next to a country represents a postcard!
Fun fact: If everyone buys a postcard (165 postcards
), and the average donations is between 20 to 30 dollars I will be fully funded! 😀
So once you have donated you can message me either through:
https://www.facebook.com/jon.tillman.12
or
This Blog!
Telling me which country you would like to hear from.
So cool!
Below is a brief about me, and why I decided to go on The World Race.
I have been a Floridian my entire life, and was born in downtown Orlando on December 7, 1994. My father and I moved to a little town called satellite beach my junior year of high school. My school (in the most literal sense) was across the street from the beach. Satellite Beach is maybe a mile wide, and I kid you not everyone surfs. I am so proud of where I grew up, Satellite is awesome!
The Gospel collided with my life my Senior year of high school, and I was baptized when I was 17. It was that year I realized that Christianity was so much more than an ideology, and Jesus wasn’t just a concept. But rather He was who He said He was, not metaphorically but literally. The reality and weight of coming to terms with this was huge for me. Since then pursuing the heart of God and knowing Him deeply has been what I attempt to value most in my life.
I am 21 now. I’ve learned a lot, but I feel like it’s time to go. I don’t want to be complacent. I want to challenge myself. I want to have a greater dependency on my relationship with Jesus.
Everything has fallen into perfect place and now is the time for me to go. To live on mission, and find Jesus throughout nations.
