The day is finally here. After flying to Los Angeles and meeting up with my team, I made the non stop, 13 hour flight to Auckland, New Zealand to begin my journey, losing a day in time in the process. Once landed, we bused from Auckland to Matamata, where the YWAM base is located that we are staying at. Although they have amazing facilities here, there is not enough room for all of us to stay in cabins, so many of us are using are tents, myself included. Going on very little sleep right now but am excited to be with my teammates again. At launch we’re just spending a week to fellowship with our teammates and do additional training before we actually go out to begin ministry.
I am tired, excited and anxious. I love what we’re doing right now but I’m anxious to get my hands dirty too. That is, after I catch up on the sleep I’ve lost in the last 48 hours.
That is all I have for now, my internet access is very limited where I’m at right now so I have to keep it short. But stay tuned, more from New Zealand after these messages.
