This past month or so God has been teaching what loneliness really means. Some people believe they are lonely when they have only a few people around them. Some people believe they are lonely, because they don’t have that whole couple relationship thingy going for themselves. Some people just do not have any friends at all, and some people are lonely; because they just went through a life changing experience, whether good or bad and no one can relate to them or what they are going through! There are many situations and moments in life that can bring these feelings up and floating around in the air. However, I have come to find that loneliness doesn’t relate to the number of people that are around you; more so the number of people that you have a connection with. Connection is a vital idea we all look for when it comes to relationships with people. We many times get who we are and fulfillment from the people we are connected to; whether it’s a deep connection or superficial.
The thing is though if we do not get everything from God, and He is not our source of connection then we will continue to be empty, lonely, and always have something missing in our lives. As much as I love connecting with people without Christ being that main source of connection it’s all for nothing. The question do we really believe that God has everything we need? Do we really believe that He knows what’s best, and He gives us the desires of are hearts? We must remain in Him! Truthfully that’s really hard, but as much energy we put in relationship with others; how much more should we with our heavenly Father. Honestly I am no where close to where I should be, but I’m praying for that un waivering relationship with Christ.
