This month I’m so excited about what God is doing here in Inringa, Tanzania!!!! This Sunday was probably the longest Sunday I have ever had, and I love it!!!! Talking about going out and reaching the community!! This church we work with does excatly that!!! So on Sunday out of our two teams, we need three preaches!!!! I was one of them. The first service started at 7:30 and went to 10:00!!! This service was for college kids and it was the English service!!! We sang worship songs and brought the word of God!!! The speaker was Annie Rose!!! She did a wonderful job!!! Her serman was really captivating!!! She spoke on the presence of God!! The whole church had there eyes on her as she brought the word of God!! God truly moved!! The interpreter of the serman was so touched that he couldn’t focus and interpret what she saying ,because he was into the serman!!! This guy is a really good English and Swahili interpreter!!
The next service started at ten and lasted until 1:00!!!! This was for the Swahili speakers!! We worshiped and danced with them throughout the church!!! The word of God was brought by my teammate Eric!!! God worked through him as welll!!!! After that, we ate a delicious lunch and rest for about 1hr. Then we moved to the market to do street preaching!!!!! I was so excited about this moment!!!! I always dreamed of preaching the word of God in the street!!! Why not have preaching in the street!!!?? This is seemed so radical by many people, but actually in the terms of following Christ it’s normal christian living!!! Thus, this market was very busy and noisy!!! I just hollered in the microphone and brought the word of God as I knew how!!!! It was crazy!!!! There was music playing and lots of noise everywhere, and people smoking and drinking everywhere!!! At the time I didn’t realize that I was right in front of a bar!! Finally, I finished and then others went to go speak!! While people were speaking I went into the bar areas and begin to meet people!!! I didn’t want to present the word of God and then not take the time to love them! So I went to talk to them and present them the gospel on a personal level!! It was awesome!! Two souls were won for Christ at the market!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After that we went back to the church and then loaded up and got ready for door to door evangelism!!! I love evangelizing!!! People even refer to me as an evangelist, and I had know idea I was before the race!!! I like to call it being and opportiunist!! Whatever opportunity God gives me to show his love, I must take advantage of it!!!!! So we do door to doo evangelism for a while, and I was with a sixteen year old kid who interpreted for me!!! He was an amazing Tanzanian!!!!! I was also with my teammate Taniuska!!!! She was really nervous about this, because this was something she wasn’t used to doing,(neither was I). So we went!!!!! I shared the gospel with the first few people, and then she prayed over them!! God was truly blessing!!! Then I looked at her and said, “Are you ready?!” She replied yes hesitantly!!! Then she preached the word!!! A soul was saved from that experience!!! God was truly Blessing!!!!
All in all it was a great Sunday!!!!! God worked through us!!! I’m looking forward to the rest of our time!!!!! Stay tune to see how God will bless Tanzania!!!!!!!!!
