God’s name is so powerful!!!! When people hear the name of God you will get many different expressions or emotions. When people hear or see God’s name they either: smile, frown, laugh, cry, get angry, get confused, get filled with hate, ponder, wonder, blame, chase after, get scared, get nervous, fill up with joy, get peace, get excited, and many more expressions and emotions!
I was talking with my teammates and we were discussing the difficulties of talking about Christ in a conversation with strangers. It occured to me that I can talk to a random person about pretty much anything, but when you talk about the name of Jesus the conversation turns to a whole another level! The name of Christ carries so much weight that it’s impossible not to feel anything when you mention that name! I figure that can be caused by different reasons, but when tradgedy happens in lives the name of God does either three things to people: either it hardens their heart towards God, keeps them seeking after him, or the people who are apathetic have had so many tradgedies happen that they just don’t care anymore!

So today our team decided to do cardboard testimonies. This entails writing a word or phrase that was a sin in our lives and on the other side writing on how God reedemed us from it. On my piece of cardboard I had “
SEE PEOPLE AS GOD SEES THEM!” As I was holding up this sign I could see the expressions and emotions on people’s faces. Many people sneered, scoffed, looked nervous, got frighten, smiled, were joyful and more expressions! I also recieved two hugs, a person saying Amen, and a guy who came up to me and we got to talk! This guy was from a foreign country and his problem with believing in God was the bloodshed and all of the wars. Of course I had not the slightest idea why all these wars are fought, but I just simply shared with him that God is a God of love! I took him through the story of the cross and how Jesus died for our sins! He most definately saw things in a different light and I pray that he will come to know Christ as his Savior!
